Ryde Lunar New Year Celebration 2012- Year of the Dragon

The City of Ryde is home to a large and vibrant Chinese and Korean community. In 2011, the City hosted an exciting and colourful series of events which were widely acknowledged as a success. 

The equal partnership between the City of Ryde and local Chinese and Korean communities in Ryde in organising the celebrations is unique in Sydney.

In 2012, the local community will hold a week of celebrations and events, cumulating in the annual flag ship event on Saturday 4 February 2012 where a large number of performances will be held at Eastwood Plaza.

The Ryde Lunar New Year Celebration Organising Committee comprising local community leaders, businesses and residents has been meeting regularly to plan the 2012 celebrations.
